As a child I never felt that I was an artist, or even for that matter artistic. All I desired was to create things. Growing up in a small town in India, in my free time I would make kites and fly, build little mud houses , make clay sculptures, sew, embroider, crotchet, and so much more. The last pages of my notebooks were always filled with sketches of little projects and ideas that flooded my young mind of the many different things that I could make from dresses to building plans.

A postgraduate , I was a student of English Literature and Education. I also have a PG Diploma from the Leather Design and Technology Department of the premier design institute NIFT New Delhi and was awarded for Creativity and Craftsmanship for my Graduating Design Collection. I worked as a freelance designer and have also experienced the joys of teaching. My design sensibilities have been nurtured  through these various influences in my life.

Over the last two decades I have designed furniture, garments, jewellery, painted elaborate wall murals in schools and numerous artworks for friends, family and private collectors. There are very few things that give me more happiness than bringing a canvas to life, in creating a narrative and a visual experience.
